About

If you want creative secondary math resources, you're in the right place.

I’m a former high school math teacher who taught everything from Algebra 1 to Pre-Calculus. My classroom was filled with students who had a wide range of abilities and came from different mathematical backgrounds. I was always challenged to provide learning materials that were appropriate for everyone! I became passionate in making my classroom inclusive of all learners but struggled to find the time to find or create everything I needed.

I know what it’s like to see
students have that lightbulb moment.
But it wasn't always that way ...

My first couple years of teaching were … HARD! Like, I taught in multiple rooms including a computer lab, didn’t have Microsoft Office on my computer, and only could use a chalkboard, kind of HARD. I was in survival mode and as a result, my students suffered. I worked around the clock but my lessons were bland, I could never get ahead, and I didn’t have the support or energy to do anything fun. Mentally, it took it’s toll on me! I wasn’t the type of teacher I knew I could be and I knew I wasn’t at a place where I could challenge my students to reach their full potential either.

I began to advocate for things I needed to do my job better and slowly but surely things started to improve. I got a new laptop, moved out of the computer lab, and eventually got a smart board. As I became able to work more efficiently, my lessons improved! I gained back the brain space to think creatively and modify lessons to be more engaging for students. I learned to analyze my lesson planning better and develop each unit with all of my different learners in mind. It was a game changer!

It was discouraging to not be supported and frustrating to not have a place to turn to find that support. My experience guided me to establish a classroom that is a place of growth! A place where students can celebrate the mistakes that help them become better math students. Where knowledge can be presented in different ways so all types of learners know their opportunity to learn will be there. And because I know what it feels like to be a teacher without any help, I passionately continue to develop resources to help you, too!

implementing new lessons in
your classroom doesn't have to
be difficult or time consuming.

If you are anything like me, you:

  • May not know where to start.
  • Don’t have a lot of time.
  • Wonder if you’ll be able to make it work.
